A rare opportunity to buy a world-class painting for a price that feels exactly right (to you, not to someone else)
Since we are moving to San Francisco, I am releasing some early paintings from my personal collection.
These paintings have been staying with me for quite some time — as references for future work, or for their life-affirming and colorful presence on our own walls (or, in some cases, just because). They helped me through some dark and difficult times — in ways hard to put into words, yet quite impossible to overestimate.
Now, I feel, it’s time for them to find their own path in the world — and their own perfect person to stay with and lend their support through the ebbs and flow of life.
Since you’ve found your way to this page, I really hope it’s you.
Price that feels right
Kandinsky wrote about resonance between a work of art and a human soul. I strongly believe that no financial barriers should be allowed to stand in the way of this sacred resonance — and so, I do my best to remove them.
This means that you get to decide what feels right in terms of price. If you cannot afford much right now, I absolutely don’t want this to build a wall of separation between you and the painting you resonate with. A perfect match between a painting and a collector is every artist’s dream — and you can “pay forward” with acts of kindness and generosity. On the other hand, if money is not an issue for you, allow them to express your appreciation and graciousness — again, in the way that feels right to you.
Where and when
You can visit my home studio in Fremont, California (by appointment). The studio will be open for this sale on Fridays (3PM-6PM) and Saturdays (10AM-1PM), from February 28, 2025 till March 22, 2025. Please contact me to set an appointment and get the address.
- Note: if you have found a particular painting you want in the preview collections, please let me know so I can reserve it for you.
Online: the paintings included in the preview collections can also be purchased online (please use the INQUIRE button besides each painting). But there are more available in the studio, so please come if you can.
Obviously, there are no time constraints on online purchases — you can do so right now.
- Note: for online sales, I will ask for a pre-payment (depending on the size) to cover the shipping and handling costs — but you can decide on the final price once you meet the painting ‘in person’.
Postscript: I know that prices for art can sometimes seem quite mysterious and downright random (and, in some sense, they are), and this makes it difficult to decide what price is “right.” To make it a little easier, let me be transparent: in the past, similar paintings of mine have been sold for anywhere between mid-three digits to mid-four digits (depending on the size, the genre, and the power of allurement and resonance between a painting and a collector). Use this as a guidance if you wish, but don’t let it limit your options.
